Melody manages the Birch Teaching Garden where she teaches families how to grow their own food and maintain a garden on a small budget. Along with Matt and Laura, she plans the garden inventory and planting process in the winter, then helps Birch participants learn how to garden and keep plants thriving. Upon arriving at the garden, participant volunteers are guided by Melody in the tasks for that day.
